It was always going to be Bradley. More BS from Bob

Arum said Crawford, who he promotes, and Khan, handled by Arum’s adversary Al Haymon, were rejected by cable and satellite distributors for not being “that well known yet.”

“They didn’t feel Khan would do anything,” Arum said. “[Khan] has a spotty record, hasn’t done great ratings. Why would we feel he’d do well on pay-per-view?”
Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring April 9 to meet welterweight champion Timothy Bradley Jr. for a third time, the fighters’ promoter, Bob Arum, said Wednesday.

So let's see if that true

    Ratings:

    Bradley vs. Rios 910k
    Bradley vs. Vargas 1.1 mil
    Bradley vs. Chaves 850k

    Khan vs Algieri 1.1 mil
    Khan vs Alexander 725k

    Crawford vs. Jean 1.0 mil
    Crawford vs.Dulorme 1.0 mil
    Crawford vs Gamboa 1.2 mil

Numbers wise it's Crawford. Bradley is more well known because he's fought Manny twice and JMM once. Both fighters with strong fan bases.

Name recognition isn't a problem with Pacquiao. He did 350K with Algieri. That's low for Manny but a solid PPV number. You're telling me that networks would reject Crawford and Khan but accept Algieri?

It was always going to be Bradley.

Bradley vs. Rios flopped too if I recall.

I don't get it. Nobody asked for this fight. It does nothing for everyone except Bradley because he gets a 4th PPV payday despite not being a big ticket seller.

Just goes to prove that Pacquiao can put his footdown and choose who he wants, for years instead of the "talk to my promoter".

Because I'm sure Arum practically begged him to fight Crawford.
Bradley is just the fallback, the only other Top Rank fighter Manny can fight.

Look, I would have preferred Pac v Khan or Brook but Bradley is better than TC and waaaay better than Broner so I don't understand why people would **** on this match up.

Plus Pacquiao gets to go on a bit of a break by winning yet another welterweight title and beating the second best guy in the division. Not bad.

I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but you're right.

It was always going to be Bradley. Arum just gave a big **** you to the fans. Basically saying "you're going to buy this PPV because I said so".

I hope everyone streams the fight so it does terrible numbers and embarrasses Arum.

The only positive of this, is Manny can likely stick it to Teddy Atlas who hasn't been kind to him over the years.
