    As BoxingScene.com first reported on Tuesday, the junior lightweight champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), Jose Pedraza, will make his mandatory defense against Stephen Smith on the 26th of March in New York.

        The promoters should have been more transparent with Pedraza about what was happening. Seems like he wanted to get in the ring sooner and be more active next year but they screwed that up for him.

          Smith will knock him out, one way or another.

          I like that Haymon listened to Hearn's fighter about not wanting to fight in Puerto Rico and scheduled the fight in New York instead. That's how you build relationships. After the gift that Pedraza got in his last fight, I don't blame Smith for refusing to fight in Puerto Rico.

          Pedraza has not faced an opponent of this level before. So we'll see what he's made of... I think he'll lose.

            For sure this. Someone needs to man up & tell Haymon to get rid of that bull**** ass 2005 tracfone that seems to be his only means of communication outside of face to face meetings & get on an iPhone or even skype so he can talk to people like people of the present do. Send an email to all involved parties with a click & be done with it. No drama, no silly stories like this getting to the media.
