People tend to forget that when u see that a certain boxer is making x millions of dollars that the IRS takes 39.6% of that.

For example, when it's reported that Floyd makes for example $100 mil, off the bat that $100mil becomes $60mil. Then there's al haymons 15% along with paying his trainer, cutman and any additional expenses. When u look into it, that $100 mil really equates to around $45mil.

Many of these boxers go crazy spending and neglect their tax bill figuring they can use their next purse to pay back the tax they own from the previous fight but seem to forget that now they owe taxes for 2 fights. This is how they fall behind.

Not sure if you're aware but it did happen to Floyd. It happened in 09. It's why Floyd and Oscar partnered up. Oscar bailed Floyd out of his tax problems and in return Floyd fought under gbp. If I'm not mistaken, Oscar gave/loanedFloyd $10mil to settle his tax problems.

all black fighters need white financial advisors to help

Every black fighter needs a qualified white financial adviser for guidance and advice and to assist in managing the fighters earnings. So sad to see all these uneducated clueless fighters losing all their earnings over dumb money mismanagement and squandering their futures. Obtaining a qualified educated experienced financial adviser is a must for every boxer. Most fighters can barely read or write or even make a bank deposit and lose everything. Make smart white advisers available to every boxer? It is the only way for these kids to survive.

No, every black fighter needs Al Hymon. None of the fighters advised by Al Haymon should ever have to experience bankruptcy because he educates them about the importance of money management and making wise decisions.

I'd wait to see where a fighter like Broner is at in about 5-7yrs before making that claim.

This is so sad to see. All athletes that come up out of poverty should invest in a comoetent, trustworthy financial advisor.

That way they don't blow through all of their money and can live comfortably in their old age.

If that's true Floyd sure has a funny way of showing his gratitude. What a ****
