How many LHW's brag about a former 160 champ taking on a fight because he has a hard time making weight, better to work than to not. Chavez Jr and Fonfara gave props to each other... only frauds are some posters.

He doesn't have a hard time making weight. He is undisciplined and his biggest strength was to shrink himself at the weigh in so he can come in considerably big against his opponent.

He is not a young guy any more so it has caught up to him and he can't shrink as much anymore

Shrinking or not, if people claim he drains himself crazy before the weigh in then Chavez Jr. must have superpowers to punch as hard like that going in the ring and going 12. Skill level or not, putting on gloves and going 12 with other top contenders is freaking hard. Lee and Chavez Jr. are about the same, the difference is that Chavez Jr. chooses to live it heavier as you stated, and not being disciplined is definitely a factor. But the drainage theory is off. Look at how De La Hoya fought drained, rather sad poor performance. With CHavez Jr. that's just his capacity or else he'd never make it past 4 rounds if these theories were true.

With all his sloppy training habits and no dedication he has shown if he had taken his career seriously and had some what of an amateur career he would had been a force.
