Well we all know why he chose Berto over Kahn.

But I'm assuming he picked Maidana because he was he flavor of the month at that time and Floyd loves fighting flavor of the month fighters.

Maidana obviously because he beat Broner. Floyds way of showing people Broner is no Mayweather like people were saying at the time.

Berto, probably because he wanted an easy fight and didn't feel like challenging himself since in his mind he had just finished with his "greatest accomplishment" in Pacquiao. Berto sucks and had lost 3 out if his last 6 fights so you couldn't get much worse with somewhat of a name value. He made a gazillion dollars from the Pacquiao fight and was guaranteed a lot of money in his last fight as well so he literally didn't care if was a flop or not. Basically just an easy payday for him with little to no risk at ruining his perfect record.

Khan has headlined PPVs in England. Ignorance is bliss, Red Foxx.
First part has nothing to do with what I said so quit with the distractionary arguments, it only makes you look worse.
Second, since when does a minor local ppv in the UK have ANY relevance to a U.S. ppv (which is what the thread topic is about and obviously what Iwas referring to ). You are a desperate little fanboy and you're getting embarrassed over and over.

And Khan did himself no favors with his inactivity & careful matchmaking while waiting to be picked. Maidana earned a Floyd fight by beating Broner & by giving Floyd a tougher than expected first fight. I don't believe Berto earned the fight, but in that regard he's just on equal footing with Khan cuz if Khan had gotten the fight he'd have not earned it either so me personally, I was gonna **** on Floyd for that opponent choice if it was Berto or Khan.
One of which almost backfired. I like Khan more than Algieri, but I had Algieri winning that fight soundly. Call me crazy.

I am not a fan of either.

I'm no Khan fan and rate Floyd as an all time great but I'm realistic. Styles make fights. Khan gives people fits unless they can out-power him. Even when they can out power him he gives back a ton. He knocked down Maidana and Peterson despite being outgunned. He's susceptible to punchers. Floyd is no puncher anymore.

When Floyd was even at 80% there would be no doubt but Floyd looked much less than that in his last few fights.

I don't see any shame in that.

Pretty much what I think. Mayweather seemed to have checked out mentally after the Pac fight. Berto was a strange choice, pure speculation on my behalf but it might have been a favor to Haymon.

Would you favor Khan if Floyd fought him in September? Even Floyd's harshest critics won't agree with you. I'm talking about now. Floyd isn't in the skeletons you are imaging him in.

I don't buy this. Sure that happened in his first L. Peterson just outworked him doe (although for full disclosure I had Khan winning that fight) & Garcia timed him. Timing is probably the only thing that is exceptional about Garcia & why he keeps winning fights people think he shouldn't be winning or beating guys he shouldn't be beating. Timing beats speed.

Floyd wasn't going to outwork him with his style obviously, but he was gonna time the **** outta Khan & stop him late or beat him 10-2, 9-3. Khan brought nothing that was gonna do him well vs Floyd except speed & speed is only gonna be effective early before Floyd gets you figured out & then he'd have done him like Zab during the 2nd half of their fight where Zab's speed did him well early too.

                    knowing Floyd

                    and his genius fans

Berto was the best welterweight there was after Pac at that time.

in fact every boxer Floyd fought becomes the best in that division at the time Floyd fought them.

genius floyd fans and their logic.

                      Both were bull**** picks.

Floyd has had something personally against Berto for a while, he's been wanting to fight him for years but Berto kept ****ing it up by losing. First time was to Ortiz, then Guerrero. he almost ****ed it up by losing to Soto-Karess but Floyd just had to fight him because it was his last fight.

That first Maidana fight was bull****. Khan already kicked Maidana's ass and all he did was beat that bum Adrien Broner, who should have really lost to another Khan victim Pauli Malanagi. On top of that it wasn't that long ago when Maidana was completely schooled by Alexander - A fighter Khan went onto completely dominate.

The second Maidana fight was justified, he did perform well in the first and deserved a rematch.

Were either fighters more of a challenge then Khan? No.
