Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: I Hope Joshua Don't Become David Price

Rising heavyweight contender Anthony Joshua (15-0, 15KOs) is quickly becoming a force within his division.

The Olympic gold medal winner is already ranked in the number two position in the WBC's top ten. He is expected to become a mandatory challenger to that title in the next twelve months.

If he was he wouldn't have made it out of that 2nd round against Whyte.

Well for starters, he has sound fundamentals. Price is a stiff plumber.

Joshua already showed good punch resistance, price wouldn't have got out of the second. Also Joshua has the Amatuer Pedigree, Mix of Speed/Power and a growing skill set.

I would love to see a Wilder/Joshua fight late 16'. Unlike most I'm not overly critical of Wilder, yes he is not the most skilled but his story is a good one. Personally. I always have high hopes for late starters in boxing because of the hate/disrespect for late bloomers in the sport.

I would understand if wilder had beaten klitchko, haye, povetkin and so on....but he just beat Molina and duphaus , it sure sounds like wilder is starting to have dark dreams in having to face joshua, mentally I think when a fighter starts trying to talk down an opponent he knows lurks in the shadows he is already into a losing formula...tell me a wilder who weighs 220 at most who is 6ft 6 who's legs are like matchsticks and he's gonna have to face off with joshua who is solid at 247 and has a solid amatuer background not to mention he has blitzed every fighter he has faced....wilder go watch your past amatuer fight where you was doing the funky chicken before you got sparked out...yeah joshua was dropped but was not hurt got up and lost on points in only his 3rd amatuer fight...wilder better watch what he says because if you keep knocking on the Devils he is gonna answer it ......war golovkin
