    is lennox lewis chin underrated?

people always says lewis chin is glass or ordinary but people forget that lewis fought some massive punchers in tyson, morrison, ruddock and tua and none of those guys could put lewis on the canvas . i think that proves that lewis had a pretty good chin . it was by no means granite bit it wasent glass either .

I agree...a well placed hard shot can put anybody down, it happens.

Anyone with any doubt just needs to watch the Mercer fight.

He ate huge shots in that fight and gave right back.

His chin wasn't steel, but it was nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be. He was taken out twice with haymakers that would have taken a majority of fighters out.

But like I said, the Mercer fight is a good indication of what his chin is really like.

I agree. he gets way too much criticism about the chin. he walked right into mcalls right hand and same with rahman. very clean right hands. if his chin was that bad,,,,lionel butler,,,ruddock,,,morrison,,mercer,,,and phil jakcson would have taken him out

Rahman is known as a big puncher, and lewis got his revenge back by putting him to sleep.

He even beat McCall back to get his revenge.

Yes I think its underrated. Where do people get that he has a glass chin? Against Rahman he was clowning around and had his hands down, and Rahman hit him with a solid shot that would have put almost anyone down. I dont know about McCall, but thats the only other time hes been down.

think more about recent history, his last fight, he fought a guy that won all but one of his 40 so fights by KO...Vitali Klitschko, he got hit by shots which KTFO of Vitali's 40 previous opponents, yet, Lennow Lewis took it all in his stride and gave back more......

Lennow Lewis = All time great!
