Saunders is underrated and better than he seems but I'd still go with Canelo

Canelo should fight Lemieux, then BJS and maybe 1 power hitter at MW
If Canelo is going to fight twice a year in May and September and he has three more fights before fighting GGG then he will be fighting GGG in September 2017. That isn't fair to GGG to make him wait another two years to fight the lineal middleweight champ. I guess it doesn't matter that much because by then almost everybody will recognize GGG as the true lineal champ. Canelo should just make his stand and fight GGG at 160 in September 2016. !60 is the weight real middleweights fight at and Canelo is so close to being a middleweight that he should just fight at 160.

This thread deserves a poll. This fight would be amazing.

Canelo the Boxer vs Billy Joe the Boxer. Their could be a clash of styles which might stink out the place or this could turn into fireworks. I don't think the Bookies would seperate them by a big margin. Saul could come in at slight favourite because of his 154 run but Billy Joe is bigger and more fleet footed at the weight.

Hold on. What's this blasphemy I'm reading about Billy Joe. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions but saying Canelo would BLAST out Billy Joes implies very little knowledge of his career.

100%. Canelo has only KO'd human punching bags Alfredo Angulo, Josesito Lopez & James Kirkland over the last 4 years. I would bet the over all day in this fight if it were to happen. Plus BJS is tricky + a legit MW which Canelo has yet to fight yet.

I don't hate BJS's chances here & I'd possibly pick him to upset Canelo (on my & most fans scorecards), but I suspect even if BJS wins on most fans cards he could easily got robbed by the judges.

would depend on where the fight was held, tbh

Does Canelo really want to deal with a 5'11 (assuming that Saunders is also the longer fighter), awkward southpaw, who fights behind a busy up/down jab and good movement? Fat chance.

If Joe Saunders is ok with 157 then that the fight to make next, The other guy in the raking that can make 155- 157 is #3

September 2017 basically amounts to 20 months; at Golovkin's believed desired pace (3-4 fights per year, to stay active), you're looking at 7 fights, on either HBO or HBOPPV, no less.

There's no way that Golovkin avoids Andre Ward, Demetrius Andrade, Erislandy Lara, Arthur Abraham, and James Degale (all fighters that I believe beat Golovkin) over 7 HBO dates.
