Canelo's punching power is overrated. He'll feel GGg power then really try to avoid and box but will get cut off. he's a star at 154 - but I do not believe he is at 160 despite the popularity - thats why they're letting this marinate...canelo isn't ready for that power until he settles in at 160 a bit

But is he willing to take on challenges without handicapping him.

It's one thing to take on Angulo when he is inactive and had to drop 40 pounds to fight. Or a Trout who clearly was on his downhill spiral-sure he beat Cotto, but it's Cotto.

Or to beat guys he outweighs in the ring. Was Cotto really a challenge when Canelo seemingly couldn't feel his punches. Roach is right, Canelo looked every bit of 180 that night.

This guy, who wants to take on challenges, thinks he needs a weight advantage against a guy who'll be 10 pounds lighter than him in the ring.

Brooklyn how is Canelos punching power over rated?? He knocked down and bloodied trout who NEW he needed a ko to win but lost his heart and did jack sht about it he knew the score after every round not many ppl get that.

And I don't hate Canelo, I think he could be good. But this crap he has done with his weight, CW, and the MW division, it turns me off.

He can't make 154, so he needs to do what everyone else does, moves up.

I get it, there is a monster in the MW division, but that is a challenge he should want, not be forced to take at 160.

I agree with the bolded only because he is holding titles, aside from that he can do whatever he wants at this point...
