Erkan Teper will now pay a heavy price for the path he chose that led to facing David Price.

The unbeaten heavyweight from Germany has been hit with suspensions by both the German Boxing Federation (BDB) and European Boxing Union (EBU) due to a failed drug test surrounding his knockout win over Price in July. The result of the fight has now been changed to a no contest, with Teper now dealt a one-year suspension by the BDB and a two-year ban handed down by the EBU, which - given past circumstances - could potentially opt to never again rank the disgraced boxer.

This is assault. Why is his license not permanently revoked? If it were, these guys wouldn't even attempt to get away with it. A 2 year ban is essentially 3-4 fights for a heavyweight.

I agree with you. Steroid cheats are the lowest of the low, the punishment should be more severe.

this guy has ruined his rep with the boxing world but also the promoters, even if he waits his ban off how can this man be a creditable opponent, then again theres drugs cheats everywhere, complete scum, everyone does it for the money and cant win fairly, i dont think david price would of beat him but its still a sad state of affairs.
