Heavyweight: There is a buzz around the big men there hasn’t been in a long time. Luis Ortiz only added to it with a strong outing against Bryant Jennings. He enters the top ten strong and Jennings drops. He stays rated for now, forcing Steve Cunningham out of the top ten.

Rold Must Not Keep Up with Boxing...

Yoan Pablo Hernandez vacated his IBF cruiserweight title and retired due to injuries; yet, he is still listed as champion. Please get out of the way and let a REAL fan do the ratings!

He's not listed here as IBF champ. I do need to correct for Ring; he was vacated there for inactivity And I thought I changed that. Oversight on my part. On the retirement, the last news on that is retirement News was wrong: http://www.skysports.com/boxing/news...ending-surgery

There has been nothing further from his camp since October (which I guess you missed as a real fan and all). As I put in an update a while back, this is unresolved and so it remains until it is resolve (for the time being anyways).

        5. Andy Lee (34-3-1, 24 KO)
        6. Peter Quillin (32-1-1, 23 KO)
        7. David Lemieux (34-3, 31 KO)
what's the logic behind this ordering? they all lost title fights recently, but lemieux lost to the higher ranked guy and gave a better showing than quillin did against jacobs. i'd also strongly favour him to beat quillin and lee right now

not a big deal, just wondering

          Joke Ratings....

You're listing as champion someone who hasn't fought in 17 months, hasn't had his surgery yet and has no fight scheduled. Additionally, you still have Bernard Hopkins listed in the light heavyweight ratings despite the fact he hasn't fought in 14 months and has no fight scheduled. Indeed, all the stories revolving around him regard a title fight in the super middleweight division. Again, your ratings sound as bad as some of the alphabet rankings!

Hopkins needs to come out and I try to keep up with inactivity but miss some sometimes. Appreciate anyone chiming in; I catch them eventually. As to Hernandez, anyone in the champion's slot gets a little more leeway. Jake and I were discussing what to do on him since there isn't an official retirement. Like I said, noted that in an October update keeping an eye on his official status. There hasn't been any other notable movement near the top of the class and that probably plays a part in not making a decision on how to list that yet. But it's not something missed.

My thinking is Lee and Quillin had a little better overall body of work before the most recent losses. DL lost to a better fighter but he wasn't very competitive and hasn't beat much of note. Lee's loss wasn't as bad as Quillin's and the draw earlier this year kept him a hair ahead. You could easily make a case to reorder them.
