I have fighting experience, not boxing experience. Have you ever been slammed to the ground? If you don't know what to do it feels like your gonna die. Look how fast James Toney quit against an old washed up MMA fighter in Randy Couture. Lights Out thought his life was in danger.
My dad was a JC wrestler and passed on a few things to me growing up and I took BJJ for a while. So yeah I know what it's like to be slammed..... you're right it sucks the first few times but after a while you learn how to prepare your body for the impact.

Boxing is like that in a way. Once you get used to brawlers / swarmers, you learn to be defensively responsible, use your legs and to pick your shots. The biggest factor after that becomes who's stamina is better.

      This is so true.

      Fatigue makes cowards of men.

Agreed. It's weird. And what's gay about two half-naked men pounding each other for 36 minutes.

I've quit mentally and gone into survival mode, but never properly quit, always finished the fight,
But then again I've only ever sparred with amateurs, and only 1 ex pro
          Good luck wit ur training

P.s. Totally agree with your quote about fatigue, every time I felt like quitting was due to my stamina and not so much the opponent...
