Sullivan Barrera offered Ward fight

Not a bad fight. Sullivan is not quite at Ward's level or experience...he does have a height and reach advantage and some power. He had a decent amateur background with wins over Chad Dawson and Beibut Shumenov. He's been training with Abel Sanchez...hence the GGG connection and sparring. At 33 years old...a late bloomer for a pro (2 year older than Ward) just coming in to his stride. Anyways...he's a much better opponent than Ward has been fighting lately for sure...I hope it comes off.

no that's nonsense. people said ggg was cherry picking by trying to fight froch who was #1 at 168 at that time so you simply underestimate the amount of hate and unreasonableness that some people have. you also fail to see the hypocrisy but what else is new? ward moving up to fight unproven/unknown guy in his first fight you said gotta give it to ward. ggg moving up to fight froch you said he's ducking! unproven guy=high risk laughableComment

just as i predicted several pages back people would start overrating a completely unproven guy while at the same time bashing ggg for being unproven.
and just like i predicted people would start spouting stereotypes such as he's cuban! as if that means he's automatically good? his amateur career isn't very noteworthy. no olympics or world amateur championship appearances but he's cuban so they are all good right? extra points!
he's a puncher! yes because he's stopped jeff lacy who has been stopped by everyone and murat who was stopped by hard punching cleverly...12 out of 17 ko's=huge puncher!
he's undefeated! yes because his resume isn't very good! people telling ggg to step up then hyping sullivan barrera as a great fight...at least you aren't biased. i would hate to see that...Comment
