I don't know what GGG would do at 168. The guys he tried to fight-Chavez (sucks) and Froch (past it) would not have given any indication how he would fair against the top fighters. We also do not know how he would look at 154lbs.

I think Ward will beat him. Canelo has a good chance to beat him. Lara (using his skill)Dirrell, Degale, Chudinov and Ramirez-Sanchez (size) have a slight chance IMO.

Just for the record-very few doubt GGG's skillset. It's just premature to call him "special" or "great" when he hasn't fought anyone that had a chance to beat him.

Given his "modest" level of competition, isn't it hard to get a true read on gggs true skillset?

Your throat is like Gennady's personal submarine so I understand why you posted this.

I would favor GGG over both but I think they both have a chance to defeat GGG since GGG has never faced anyone as good.

            We shall see.

I'll take Martin Murray over any of Lara's wins.

Canelo? Hell, I think Lemieux could beat most of Canelo's wins.

What long list of 160 lbers has Canelo or Lara even fought/beaten? Oh wait, neither has even fought at the full weight of 160 before....

For me, no. I've seen enough of him that you can see how skilled he is. I just do not know if he can apply them in with bigger guys or how he'd look in with a faster boxer like Lara.

It's a lot like Loma. Loma is very skilled and you can see it. His style isn't going to be as effective against bigger guys (like Walters or Salido) IMO because of the weight differential. Its hard to be a boxer/puncher when you are in with a bigger guy with longer reach.

GGG's talent and skill is evident, the "greatness" is not and will not be until he is in with a top level opponent.

Everyone has a chance to defeat everyone, doesn't mean we go around spouting Paulie could beat Pacquaio, 'cause it ain't gonna happen realistically.

I don't think we should be talking about throats and submarines when you're best known on the forums for your role as personal defender of PBF.

Lara, battered by Angulo, but somehow he beats Golovkin?

Canelo, the stamina of a slab of concrete and the feet to match it. Couldn't even really hurt Cotto, a much smaller fighter and has a terrible punch output and no great boxing skills to fall back on to win a points decision.

Bed time for you, old timer.

                    Yep, triangle theories in boxing...
Go ahead and add lara, jacobs, canelo, quillin , etc to gggs resume...

with age comes wisdom. with infatuation comes a bruised adams apple.

Canelo and Lara are better than Paulie and GGG isn't anywhere near Manny so your argument is shallow and we all know submarines are not built for shallow water.

I didn't say Lara would beat GGG, did I? I said he has a chance. Same as Canelo, especially if the fight is below 157 (which should be fine for GGG because he said he can make 154 comfortably).

What they did in those fights has no bearing on the GGG fight. I didn't list inferior fighters just to hate.

Being infatuated with GGG and wanting him to impregnate you makes it impossible for you to judge him in an unbiased fashion.
