I think it already is. He doesn't seem to be showing any interest in fighting again with his HBO job and his new record out

Hopefully he can make some adjustments on his style and be back in the ring by the end of 05 or 06.

Some one put a fork in that milk dud he's done! However, I do like his Boxing commentating. It's refreshing to have a guy that knows his stuff up there!

I think Roy is a good commentator, but George Foreman was the king...even if the fight was boring George Foreman would always say something you could laugh to or something to make you say, "Good point."

Sadly I think ROy is done.. He is a good man, and with the **** that he went through in the Olympics how can you not like the guy? I feel bad because I think those last two fights have hurt his legacy greatly!! Had he retired after Ruiz fight hed be top 5 P4P off all time.. Now I dont think so!!

Yeah, alot of people will talk about his talent in the future, but his accomplishments will always be overshadowed by his back to back KO losses (the only accomplishment I could say that won't be is his win over Ruiz)...

he's shot, he has no true desire to comeback and dominate. after his last loss to glen johnson, he was losing in such poor fashion and to get ko'd the way he did........he is done. and to save his health i think he should quit. it's like augie sanchez, after getting brutally ko'd you just can't take a punch no more. the ko loss to johnson was bad, but it wasn't as big of a punch as the ko loss to tarver.....tarver got him with a cleaner shot, a more solid shot. the jonhson shot was on the side of the head, but it also caught some shoulder......roy should retire and fast.....

Roy never has wanted to take a punch (understandable). For the last ten years you could hardly read an interview where he didn't say something about permanent damage from boxing. Now that he can't avoid being hit anymore I highly doubt we will ever see him in the ring again.

Roy cannot fight anymore because his quickness is gone and he doesn't have the beard/style to stay in front of his opponents...like say James Toney. His game was built on beating his opponent to the punch and getting out of harms way before damage was done. Now that he can't do that I believe he should end his career and completely shift to commentary.
