Although I agree with the premise, there is a difference. Some fighters do the moving, boxing, and being defense minded thing really well. Floyd used to be fun to watch. Some make it unbearable to watch.

As for GGG, he did not do anything near run from Lemieux, he used his jab to control distance, keep Lemieux at bay, and set up thunderous body shots. Does GGG strategically move back, sure. Is he a guy who is known to shy away from contact, no! Not even remotely the same.

To use GGG as a comparison to defend some of these current styles, it's laughable.

          So announce a fight already.

People will judge you by your actions and not by what you say.

Exactly. This guy hasn't done much at all but beat Guerrero and Collazo. How does that warrant PBC Fighter of the Year when Garcia got wins over Peterson and Malignaggi?

...and this is coming from someone that doesn't like Garcia

Yep. I'm thinking Thurman knows he's toast now after being exposed as vulnerable to body shots. Leaning toward Porter annihilating him with his bull rush brawler style. And BTW, Thurman getting FOTY? Really? Barely getting by Collazo and just basic outboxing Guerrero? PBC is all fluff, and from the murmurs behind the scenes lately, is likely running out of air.

Don't lean, Porter beating Thurman is the closest thing you'll get to a sure thing in boxing atm.

Thurman Has Been Stalling; Porter Has Been Waiting Since Oct!

Thurman must still have sore ribs from Collazo's shot. He talks tough but starting to show a yellow streak in him. One of these guys who wants the paycheck with the least amount of risk.
