Who exactly was the "source" that said Crawford was no longer in the running for Pac?

I believe it was "USA TODAY" who dropped the news, but who was their "source" exactly? Do we have a name or how they know that info?

USA TODAY isn't exactly the go-to for sports news, let alone boxing related stuff so I'm a little skeptical.

Crawford is by far the best choice for Pac, especially since Pac wants his final fight to take place at another catchweight, I believe 144 lb was thrown around. Since Crawford is the one being forced up, it's a good choice for both parties.

Plus Crawford is coming off a nice win and looked real solid in there, or "mean" as Kellerman put it. The biggest plus is that he's with Top Rank, so of course that's a plus for Bob who wants things in-house.

Why would they pass on Crawford in the first place? To fight another boring THIRD fight with Bradley? Doubtful.

I have a feeling Pac doesn't want to end on another loss so that's why they passed up on Bud (if it's true).

I really hope it's not true though. Crawford is literally the definition of a perfect fight for Pac. If Team Pac think Crawford is gonna "run" as they call it they're wrong! That dude can be mean and he's increasingly getting more aggressive in his fights.

Arum has a undefeated skilled fighter like Crawford to build up as his next star. I doubt he think he can do the same with Bradley.

Mike Coppinger is the boxing writer for USA Today so they do have a dedicated boxing writer. I'm not sure who the source was but today he reported Herrera turned down Crawford so Crawford is looking for a fight other than Manny.
