I think Brook is in better position than Thurman because he has the fanbase and a built in big fight with Khan that has been brewing.

Ideally the Thurman/Porter and Brook/Khan winners should fight before the year ends.
You don't think the enthusiasm with the fans has waned? Both were talked about as legit threats to Floyd, now they're the butt of jokes and polls have them massively losing to Bradley, Khan, etc. Not to say that the fans are correct or that their predictions mean anything, but the fans do determine the ratings, level of enthusiasm for fight bookings, etc.
I think there's something to be said for striking while the iron is hot and I don't think either guy carries quite the value that they did earlier this year. If you don't see it, I respect that (after all, it's why I have the poll) , but not keeping the momentum rolling strikes me as a big shame and a missed opportunity, marketing-wise, for both guys.

NSB is never a good place to gauge the status of the sport. Sadly, too much of what is read is from complete and utter trolls that have nothing to offer.

They were never household names to begin with. They were mentioned with Floyd because they were top WW's, had Floyd not retired, they still would be. They didn't lose momentum so much as the division did since the best 2 fighters in the division were "retiring" and "out with injury".

Had they fought again in 2015 they'd be fresher in our minds, no doubt.

from a "momentum" standpoint Brook/Khan and Thurman/Porter are still the most anticipated and meaningful WW fights on the horizon.
