"GGG Ducked Ward"

GGG didn't move up to 175 for the obvious reason that he is a 33 year old smallish middleweight who makes 160 with ease and his growing days are over. He can beat any middleweight in the world and middleweight is the prestigious division, not 168 or 175. If he moves to 175 he is giving up 15 or more pounds to naturally bigger men and handicapping himself. As great as he is GGG would still lose to Kovalev at 175. GGG moving up in weight would have been a ****** and pointless thing to do.Comment

You could possibly argue that he is a hypocrite for wanting a CW in one case while agreeing to 168 in the other case, but that is not the same as ducking. Wanting to make a fight split down the middle is not ducking. And it's all beside the point, because there was never any offer. Yet people keep repeating the lie. Why?
Essentially you are saying that if GGG negotiates at all in his own interest then he is ducking, which is insane.Comment

Ward never made a legit written offer to fight GGG so how could GGG possibly avoid a fight That was never on the table??? You can't tell anyone what Ward's so called offer to fight GGG said in terms of how much the fighters were to be paid, when and where they were supposed to fight and on what network. You can't tell anyone because there never was a written offer and therefore Ward's so called challenge was just meaningless talk. At the time Ward made this verbal challenge GGG was under contract to fight Lemieux soon and he had to go through with that fight or face a lawsuit. GGG never ducked any reasonable legit offer to fight a worthy opponent in his entire career but Martinez, Cotto, Quillen and many others avoided GGG like the plaque.Comment

Because he had no problem fighting frosh or chavez at 168..why didnt he put a demand on them for the fight? Why is ward the guy who already school CF has to come to 164 for the guy who claimes that no one want to fight? And there was an offer and they turned the fight down because ward will not and should not go under 168You could possibly argue that he is a hypocrite for wanting a CW in one case while agreeing to 168 in the other case, but that is not the same as ducking.
