Also, the vast majority of fighters take losses, what has that got to do with AJ?

Do you think he can win a world title?
I think Hughie Fury has a better resume at this point. I think Parker has more upside. I think there are already guys in the top 10-15 who are young enough that will also beat him.

I think once Joshua loses to an elite level HW he will start to losing to a bunch of mid-level guys. I see him like a Michael Grant or a Jeff Lacy. Once he goes over the cliff he will go over it fast.

Can he win a strap? Sure because the division is now very fractured and there is big money behind Joshua so I'm sure he can end up fighting the right guy at the right time. The IBF or WBO being the most obvious routes.

But will he spend time as the consensus #1 HW or ruler of the division? No ****en way, not even close. He's about as special as a bag of ready salted crisps.

Fair enough, that's all conjecture and opinion but objectively speaking, better prospects than AJ?

Yes, better. I believe in Parker's case FAR better. That's the fantastic thing about sport, is we all have our teams and athletes' that we barrack for. We all have our opinions, one of us is going to be proven wrong in this and one of us right. That's what will make the next 18-24 months so interesting regarding the likes of Joshua, Parker and Fury.

If Joshua turns out to be the real deal then I'll gladly doff my cap to him and to you. I just don't personally see it.

Ortiz has extremely well educated footwork, can switch and uses his jab a lot more than Povetkin - At least the Povetkin that has fought in the last 2-3 years.

Ortiz is very light on his feet for such a big man and uses the ring, Povetkin doesn't at all. Povetkin uses his physical tools to get into mid-range to fire of his deadly hooks whereas Ortiz uses his jab to set up the power shots.

He also fights behind the shoulder with one hand pawing or by the waist - very hard for the opponent to predict, whereas Povetkin fights more square with hands around his ears.

Oh yeah, and of course one is a southpaw and one isn't.

Both are good fighters and can KO their opponent at any time - But they don't fight alike at all and Ortiz is in no way "basically a bigger Povetkin" That's just idiotic.
You're just idiotic, you've completely gone off into la la land here and completely failed to comprehend what I have even said.

I guess it must have been the 'tug yourself off' comment I made, dude you need to stop getting yourself over excited, I wasn't trolling your beloved British Antony Joshua, stop taking it all so damned seriously.

Jeez I actually felt sorry for you after that, get yourself one of those heart rate monitors when it begins to beat irregularly take a step back from the keyboard we don't want you having a pretty little nickname like your other British cohort Dirk aka Mr Pink, I would you like that I affectionately refer to you as Mr Brown, the dude that loses his shyt when a foreign fighter is claimed to be better than a British prospect or title holder ? Your call dude, come hola.

But you said he wasn't anywhere near the best prospect in boxing yet you have him in your top 3, you can't even name two more prospects better than him or any reason for it. You say Parker is "far better" yet have conceded AJ has fought better opposition and throws more accurate punches. In what other way is Parker better?

Now, I'm just saying this because it kinda annoys me when boxing fans ONLY go off of personal likes and dislikes rather than actual objectivity, and then frame page long arguments around those beliefs. I personal have no idea if AJ will be a world beater and I have for a long time said to calm the AJ hype train but if we're talking purely prospects, there can be no doubt in any boxing fans mind that he is the best heavyweight prospect out there.

Well I'm a boxing fan and I don't think he's the top prospect and if you surf the boards here you'll find plenty of other boxing fans that think likewise. I like how you've just tried to speak for the whole boxing fan community, LOL.

I said 'he's not even the best prospect in boxing.' I didn't say he was 'nowhere near' so stop inventing things I've said.

There are a couple of other guys that I think are better prospects but then we have to decide what defines 'prospect.'

When have I conceded that Joshua has fought better comp? Whyte is about the best (marginally) either has faced and that's only coz Whyte is young. I think Parker has fought a better body of opposition but BOTH need to step it up.

I can't remember saying where Joshua has better accuracy than Parker as I don't believe that for one second. Gee the more I re-watch that Whyte fight the more I realize how sloppy and SLOW he is. Rounds 2 & 3 looked like two drunks having a bar room brawl.

But hey feel free to post the quote where I said that.

Oh the retreats are always so good.

"Wlad will murder Fury! He has zero chance!!"

I never said he got old overnight, you were the one who claimed Wlad was showing considerable signs of decline before the fight against Pulev and even more so against Jennings, yet want Fury to take full credit ? lol, go on man, you tell us. I refused to accept Wlad is over the hill as it discredits his win over Fury in the rematch, if he can't defeat him he goes for a lesser title holder and wins I stated that hours ago in another post in your favourite forum, global boxing scene or whatever it is called the one that covers more news of British fighters and posts of your beloved heroes.

I did however say he would murder him, I think I said 'sodomise his ass' and I still think he will, if he lets his hands go, one thing I will say is Fury can't stop Wlad but the whole boxing world knows Wlad can or could have, really depends on what he has left. I think a more motivated Wlad stops Fury, but unlike I said last time, not with ease. I guess I'm just like the others who don't hold Fury in particularly high esteem, and after his display against a gun shy Wlad, why should I ? It isn't as though he was taking risks he was afraid to mix it with the former champ, I guess that Cunningham and Pajkic fight had a crushing effect on his psyche and fragile state of mind, kinda sounds like we're talking about you here lol.

Fury, Klitschko and Povetkin are the only names that have any sort of pedigree at the moment. Having a top 5, let alone a top 10 current HW list shows how weak the division is right now.

Agreed, with guys like Fury and Wilder populating the five it really is testament to how poor this current wave is and the fact Wlad manage to lose to one too !
