Ortiz got skills. I look forward to seeing him in with any of the other champs. Being with GBP will be good for him and he'll be a regular feature in HBO next year. The crew seemed very impressed with Ortiz as well.
FWIW, Ortiz and Jennings are VADA participants and were both clean. I don't know anything about his pass positive test, but he looks to be great being clean as evident from his KO win last night.Comment

Good explanation? He tested positive for a steroid. What is there to say? People can make excuses all day long; but the bottom line is, Ortiz violated the rules. From a personal standpoint, it's my belief that many, perhaps most, professional athletes today use banned substances. Most don't get caught. It's not rocket science to avoid detection. So when a fighter tests positive once, I don't get all worked up about it. If he tests positive a second time, that's a different story.Comment

Don't know if he will get either next but he should get the winner of Ruslan Chagaev vs Lucas Browne next at the very least
I like Ortiz, he has a great story with his Daughter situation. Hopefully he is clean and stays clean so that nobody can discredit his accomplishmentsComment

Boxing fans should be campaigning for these fights. It frustrates me to see boxing fans becoming business men, saying "this fighter and that fighter ain't big/draws enough".
Campaigning for these fights is what gives the casual/public notice and the promoters. Stop giving them wiggle room to duck fights. Stop being promoters and be fan of the sport and call out these cowards.Comment
