You don't earn big fights by being brave enough to step in the ring with anyone. You earn it by winning. I like Rosado actually but i think it's been proven pretty much every time he's stepped up to a world class fighter he has been stopped.

He's about a C level fighter at best and there's no point in putting him with Canelo.

The fight was dead even until the eye injury. From then on Rosado fought with only one eye that's when Lemiuex took over and too Rosado credit he still fought hard and the doctor had to stop the fight with the eye because Rosado was not going to go down or quit.

To be fair a win over Clottey is still good even at his 38yrs of age, gutted that Clottey lost though.

I think Rosado has been a bit unlucky in recent times, definitely a good fighter but I agree with several losses in a row he really doesn't deserve a title shot.

I like Gabe, he got robbed of a win vs Love, and deprived of the chance to win vs Quillin, and made a mistake moving back down to 154 for Charlo. His record could/should be a lot better. That said I'd rather see him fight Heiland and Johnson in order to make a better contender.

Fans Would Riot

Good win by Gabe Rosado against a tough Clottey. But us boxing would absolutely riot if he fights Canelo next. I think Rosado is a tough, skilled, Gatti like fighter but he's not ready yet for Canelo.

Again he was giving Quillin, Lemieux, and Charlo hell before those fights got stopped because he has so much scar tissue that he cuts easy. He probably would have gotten a victory or 2 if that wouldn't have happened. Also he got absolutely robbed against Love in my opinion.

My point is he needs to continue to rebuild his career in 2016. Get at least 2 more top 10 wins then maybe at the end of 2016 November or December if Canelo wants to fight 3 times in 2016 fight Canelo then.

Gabe should fight Geale, N'Dam, Eubank Jr., or Andy Lee. He needs 2 victories against competition like this for us fans to believe he deserves a fight with Canelo.

In May Canelo should fight Pac or Khan at a catch weight, or try to work out a deal with Billy Jo Saunders for a unification fight.
