People are getting to the point that just to spite a commentating team, clear cut robberies are fucking rational.

    Walters won the fight.

    Period.

But you do seem more bothered by HBO's commentary, which bears no effect on the actual result, than the official judges scorecards, which do.

Do you guys want a cookie for pointing out HBO's perceived bias or something?:lol1:
I think people make the bias point because they feel like it influences what viewers think.
I think it's right to call it out every time it happens.

It doesn't change the result, but it makes a somewhat competitive fight appear as a whitewash.

Still was a robbery, yes. But not a 10-0 Santa Cruz-Casamayor type of affair.

Do people actually listen to the announcing crew to tell them what is going on in the fight they're watching?

Generally I hear them but I certainly don't listen so I don't feel it affected my judgment that Walters won that fight clearly, no question.

As for his performance I thought he did quite well given the new weight and a tough opponent who may not be championship level but just below , there was a good show of defense slipped tons of shots fired the right hand in counter/worked the body all night long.

Walters power isn't going to be as effective against natural SFW or above as it was against former Sub-Bantums but that goes w/o saying.

Zero sum game, my big friend.

Lampley and Kellerman's slupring of fighters is not a revelation to people that have watched them for any extended amount of time. You know this. I know this. My bald headed granny knows this.

The big picture is, Walters should have got the nod, and the rest is just hot air.

Done with this shit, time to get ready to see the Niners stink up the joint.

Top Rank fighters purse sizes are affected by the decisions of their bouts...samereason Bradley got a draw against Chavez, could be the case here...idk...never know with Arum

                    Couple of things:

                    The scorecards were horrible.

For the 2nd straight fight we didn't get what I expected from Walters. Seems like he got up for the Nonito fight but since then has mostly gone through the motions. He can't keep fighting to the level of his opposition.

I have complained a lot about HBO the last year so I am not completely unbiased in regards to HBO but it's getting impossible to watch an HBO fight. with the sound on.

Lampley and the broadcasters are not there to describe the fight but to praise HBO fighters. It's like watching an NBA game and getting the home feed and they have one of those crazy homer announcers from Boston or Cleveland. slurp, slurp, slurp all day long.

I was there. No reason this should been scored closer than 98-92, Walters. A clear robbery
