VERONA, NEW YORK - The co-main event saw two Super Featherweights - former WBA Featherweight and Super Featherweight World Champion Nicolas "Axe Man" Walters (26-0-1, 21 KOs) and Jason Sosa (18-1-4, 14 KOs) -- wage a superb battle with both fighters landing tremendous sharp, accurate shots throughout the fight. While Sosa won the fight on one of the judge's cards, the fight was ruled a draw as the two other judges had the fight even.

I didn't agree with this or the Rosado decision tonight. At least Walters didn't get an L. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth having an opinion about a competitive fight until the cards get announced. In my mind both were clear.

I have no doubt the referee played a factor in the scoring. The guy was not moving around the ring like a ref should, he kept on blocking peoples views.

I literally saw him blocking peoples views ringside, may have been one of the judges, they kept trying to look around him but each time he blocked their view, it was almost comical.

The ref was barely moving in there, he'd move a foot to the left, then a foot back to the right back to where he was, like wtf?

Everybody, but the judges and Sosa's mom was probably shocked.

Why are people acting like Sosa didn't do a lot of clean work? The HBO team made it sound like dude wasn't landing anything.

Lampley, the HBO team, and compubox were sucking off Walters, but it was a competitive fight. I would have probably had it 96-94 Walters, but I have no problem with a draw, there were a lot of close rounds. I don't know wtf compubox was counting, they were way off.

i have a problem with the draw, commentary.
the compubox is ok i think.
it was definitely a close fight,
and the hbo commentary was crazily biased. and this is coming from a walters fan.

"Fan of no boxer. Just a boxing fan." Then, "this is coming from a Walters fan." Credibility lost there for one. This was a close / competitive fight is laughable at best. This was nothing more than a one sided sparring session with a gritty sparring partner coming to win. In all seriousness great effort by Sosa but he CLEARLY lost 9/10 rounds. Stevie Wonder could see that!
