Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz Knocks Out Bryant Jennings In Seven

Verona, NY -- In what has been an active run in and out of the ring for the heavyweight division, Luis Ortiz closed out the year not only with a **** but perhaps the loudest message of them all.
The unbeaten southpaw from Miami by way of Cuba forced a blistering pace in ovwhelming top-rated heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings. A knockdown and subsequent flurry produced a 7th round knockout win Saturday evening at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.

HBO aired the bout live as the main event of the 2015 season finale of its Boxing After Dark series.

Even though Jennings got KO'd, I still have to say that that beard on his face isn't for show. He took some hellacious shots and kept firing back, even out-throwing and out-landing Ortiz.

That said, King Kong is definitely looking like the real deal. I haven't been this excited about the Heavyweights in some time. Considering that he fought sick and put on that type of performance, he's going to make the division even more exciting.

A skilled heavyweight with power, that was a good heavyweight fight! But Ortiz did not look verry good in the infight. Other than that hes fighting verry well.
