Just recently rewatch some old Naseem Hamed fights and baffled at the negative commentary by Jim Watts in some Hamed fights even when he won with a KO. I can understand the negativity when he won some fights on points given the hype he built up around himself, but after the Augie Sanchez fight Jim Watts says it was a disappointing fight by Hamed even though he was floored, got back up and knocked out Augie. Same thing with the Kelley fight. Yes, some of his flaws were exposed but the fact that he fought back and won with a KO has to earn him some credit. I mean look at the fawning the British media display for Khan whenever he wins on points. What if Khan had got up after being knocked down by Garcia or Breidas and then went on to knock them out? The British commentators would have waxed lyrical about his triumph and heroic come back.
Anyway, worst commentator for me is Jim Watts - contradicts himself in the same round, unwarranted snidey comments and just poor piss analysis. Have to mute the volume at times when he's on. Favorite commentator: Al Bernstein and Max Kellerman.
