How to throw the left hook and straight right, lets see what you know!?

Write a description of how each punch is thrown, almost like you are instructing , kinda like a wiki answer, with a step by step guide on how its done.

I want to test your technical knowledge, and see how most people are throwing these 2 punches.

Theres lots of deviation in the details.

Take it to the training and nutrition forum. Like anyone wants to write a nuanced instructional essay on how to throw a cross and hook lol.

Take a good long step/jump. When they turn to 'square' (turn with you) le the right hand go.

I know how to throw all the punches. I learned from a good pro boxer. Actually you could learn just by watching the best pros. You want to throw a straight right then study Tommy Hearns. You want to throw a left hook then study Felix Trinidad or Cotto. You want to throw uppercuts then study Tyson or Canelo. You want to throw left jabs then study GGG or Hearns or Larry Holmes or a dozen other great jabbers. A strait right comes strait as an arrow from the shoulder. you pivot off your right foot and turn your waist and hips into the punch. The power comes up the calf and leg, through the hips and waist and down the arm all in one explosive movement. the arm is snapped out as strait and fast as possible. On a left hook you pivot on your left foot while your left arm is locked in a crook and you turn your waist, hips and shoulders quickly to the right to put maximum weight into the hook as it speeds toward your opponent's jaw or body. Again the arm is snapped sideways as quickly as possible with legs, hips waist and shoulders turning into the punch.

Fact is there are different fighting stances and styles and all the punches have different nuances in each. Pro trainers teach completely different things than others, but I'm sue alexkid's way is the definitive proper technique.

Step 1 put weight on rear foot, and load upper body the opposite way its going to turn

Step 2 torque hips and as weight transfers to front foot raise front foot and drop step forward (> > dash on keypad)

Step 3 After moving forward half a screen, you should have reached full extension which is where the most snap is, follow with 10-20 left uppercuts till opponent is dazed and headbutt for finish. To celebrate go punch the crap outta some poor guys car

Beercules for southpaws do this (KO Butterbean)

the funny thing is Tyson actually does 3-5 left uppercuts in a row at 1:10 in this video
