    Toney vs Virgil Hill

Hill was calling out all the glamorous super-middleweights (Eubank, Benn, Nunn, Barkley, Toney, Jones) between 1992 and 1995, but none of them were that interested because Hill was quite a risk with little reward (not a big name), but he got abit personal with Toney around 1994 and there was talk of the fight.

Hill would of beaten him. Hill was no slouch, he beat Nunn to go to the Olympics. But it was his style, he had a good jab and lateral movement. Hill could move around well and Toney hated fighters like Nunn and Reggie Johnson who moved around because Toney was an in-the-pocket fighter and did his best work up-close and personal.

    Thoughts?

Good points, but Toney would definitly be the favorite and my pick. He was much more mobile in his younger days and Hill wasnt fast enough to deal with toney's counter punching.

I read Eubank was offered a fight agenst Hill at Wembley on the Bruno undercard, but wanted 2 get his rematch with Collins on sooner rather than later

Also virgil Hill was spose 2 fight nigel Benn for Benns WBC supermiddle belt, but pulled out halfway thru camp cos he did'nt think he could make weight

I think he would of beaten both Eubank & Benn around that time if u see how poor Eubank looked in Collins remtatch & how poor Benn looked post-Mcclennan

Toney without bein weight drained would of cut the ring off & landed right hands, before knocking Hill out with a left hook to the temple in round three when Hill tried to get inside after bein frustrated

If Griffin could beat him at the time, then Hill could as well. But I'd probably favor Toney slightly.
