The heavyweight title fight between Deontay Wilder and Artur Szpilka was only made official last week, on Dec. 9, a mere 38 days before they were to meet in the main event of a Showtime broadcast at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

As of Dec. 16, with a month to go, drug testing hadn’t yet begun. Both men want it to happen, but the fact that it wasn’t yet official led Szpilka to bring up the topic toward the end of a media conference call.

I wish all these "specific fight drug testing" situations would stop & be called out for the bs they are.

Is anyone in the media asking these guys who do drug testing with a 4-6 weeks to go what exactly the point is? Why is no one in the media asking why PBC, HBO or even promoters are doing year round random testing of their contracted athletes?

I mean if they want a clean sport shouldn't that be whats happening?

Oh & random heads up for PED talk fans, Joe Rogan had Lance Armstrong on his podcast the other day & they had a interesting talk on PEDs. Good show. Armstrong's a cooler guy than I thought cept he talks like a heavily criticized girl. Like when he gets asked a question, he usually answers by saying why people will think he's wrong or bad before he answers the question itself or he'll do it directly after answering the question. I guess thats how you act when you are so big & f#ck up & some people now **** on you for instagraming your bagel in the morning they hate you so much.

Since guys like Wilder and GGG fight 3-4 times a year isn't that like being tested year round? 6-8 weeks for camp each so that's 24-32 weeks a year they're subject to testing?
