Comments Thread For: Hearn Won't Rush Anthony Joshua To Fury, Haye Bouts

ANTHONY JOSHUA has been told he is not yet ready to take on the best in the world.

The Olympic gold medallist brutally knocked out Dillian Whyte to claim the British heavyweight title in spectacular fashion on Saturday night.

But rather than start calling out new world champion Tyson Fury, ex-champ Wladimir Klitschko or even David Haye, Joshua kept his composure amid the post-fight chaos.

Hand on a minute Eddie, a few months ago you claimed that AJ was the best HW on the planet, and would wreck Fury/Klitschko/Haye right now.

“Win or lose on November 28, if he beats Klitschko, Joshua would fight him next, if he loses Joshua would fight him next anyway,” promoter Eddie Hearn told Boxing News.

Eddie Hearn is full of ****.

I think Joshua could do with a trainer like Adam Booth. Booth has proven himself time and time again as an elite trainer that understands the game and can read a fight.

Hearn is many things, but ****** isn't one of them. The outlandish statements about Joshua are just to drive up the hype and sell more tickets/PPV. It's not hard to find clips of him contradicting himself from one month to the next.

I can see them targetting the IBF belt to claim he is a 'world champion', but he will not put Joshua nowhere near Fury any time soon.

he took a big shot road it out and then knocked whyte out imo you cant ask for much more than that

think of fury , wilder , klitchko povetkin ect

              all have been shaken badly

I would be seriously shocked if aj didn't pick up multiple world titles

Who has Adam Booth trained? I'm just curious.

To be fair to booth, he's very selective in who he works with, he doesn't ever have a lot of fighters like some trainers.

He did train Haye who is a 2 weight world champ and the only man to be Cruiserweight and Heavyweight champ since Holyfield. Not bad. Currently has Andy Lee who is a champion and Eubank Jr. who is now mandatory for Jacobs. The he had Groves who is no bum but just short of world level i think but he was better with Booth i think.

So i wouldn't say he's trained a lot of good fighters but he does not train many at all anyway, and those he does train full time seem to do pretty well.

Yes, that's typical Hearn. At least AJ has been consistent in his views.
