am i supposed to want to see cotto vs ggg? for god sakes cotto almost lost at 140, got stopped at 147 twice, and lost at 154 twice..doesnt exactly spell "I CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM FIGHT GOLOVKIN"

u understand u can say lineal championship or belt...but the fact is the true boxing fan is just over all that government body politic bs..we just want fair equally sized/skilled matches....we only settle for talkin about the bc we are saveges that like to see arse whoopings regardless of the level of competition.

Canelo had to bend over for Floyd and Cotto. His turn now to bend ninjas over. Is what it is bro, that's how boxing is. I agree with u but I see why Canelo gonna be on his bull****.

mayweather didn't make canelo go down to 148. if canelo compromises to 158 or even 157 then that's not ideal but not unheard of either, but if he refuses to budge from 155 then it's a duck, plain and simple

Canelo has all the tools to be competitive, make it 12 or maybe even shock Golovkin. He's more elusive on the defense, can fight on the inside, and he can put his punches together with great timing. On the other side, Golovkin is not just a brawler. He made a terrific offensive fighter like Lemieux look harmless. You can't do such thing if your defense is crap. Golovkin has a beautiful jab, amazing timing, as well as a perfect capability to adjust distance. Canelo vs. GGG would be a boxing match in the first place, but I have to go with GGG, because of his power. Canelo has ok power, but Golovkin was knocking out top level amateur fighters left and right with head gear and big gloves. This kid has unreal power.

Lemieux is/was not a terrific offensive fighter. Having power doesn't mean your great offensively. A great offensive fighter is able to land his punches first and foremost against quality opposition. His offense was extremely limited against Golovkin as a steady jab was enough to stop him.

I'm hearing that the weight is no problem, but lets wait and see.

                  We'll see...

I don't like Abel's arrogance or a lot of his unrealistic views on boxing. He reminds me of Virgil Hunter minus the creep part. GGG/Canelo is a 60/40 fight right now in favor of GGG. It'll be a 50/50 by the time they both have voluntaries and fight late next year. Canelo is better than anyone GGG has ever fought. Lara alone is better than every GGG opponent. No? So Abel needs to chill and let the fight simmer a bit. He needs to understand that Canelo is a REAL fighter. A REAL Mexican and nobody is going to punch him in the ground. His timing, hand speed, defense, and ring IQ will be factors in the fight. And remember this, the jury is STILL out on GGG, as far as level of opposition. So far, so good. I expect a highly skilled contest when they do fight.

he ddint have to bend over..he could have simply told floyd no thank you and kept his mouth shut about being able to make 152 for floyd..he was just like ggg..canelo came out a year or so before the fiht talkin about we can meet in the middle..then when it happened he b1tched about it..but unlike ggg at least he kept his word and gave us a fight....but my entire point is canelo can afford loses his ppl dont care..and idont either losing great fights dont make u a bum and unwatchable..tired of everyone not giving floyd his credit and understanding that 0's dont happen in every generation..hell why ppl think it took so long to tie teh record at the world class level??

I understand that Abel is just hyping his fighter... but I'm tired of it. He's personable and doesn't shy away from sharing his opinions, but STFU already.
