Just watched it. That was really brutal, surely the ref should've just waved it off the way he went down the first time.

Anyone who thinks Jones should continue after all the brutal KO's needs to have their ***ing head examined.

I don't think there's any harm in letting him fight if he wants to fight. Roy does fine when they put him in with club guys. And there's a market for fat, outta shape, washed up legends, especially in other countries. The problem is, Roy still sees himself as a world class fighter. And when he tries to step it up, he gets hurt. Its up to the people around him to sit him down and be honest. Tell him he should retire. But, if he just has to fight, its gonna be exclusively at the club level. And if the people around him won't, the commissions he's fighting in needs to step up and do it for them. I don't give a damn what the name on his trunks say. He needs to be treated according to his current skill level.

Someone needs to save him from himself. Anyone who promotes any of his fights is a money grubbing a$$hole. It is past the point of being sad to see him getting knocked out. He needs to leave with what little dignity he has and let us remember his prime, his true greatness when he was practically inhuman in the ring.

Roy just stop it, please. Even your new Russian brothers don't want to see you continue. Promote fights, commentate, work in the boxing industry in some capacity, and enjoy those fine Russian asses!

I remember his prime very vividly. And honestly, I haven't seen any of his fight after the third Tarver fight. And its not because its upsetting for me to see him KO'd. I haven't watched him because he's not relevant at a level of the sport that interest me.

As for the greedy fux promoting him. Hey, personally, I don't understand the market of folks wanting to see him. Maybe seeing "Roy Jones" in a boxing ring, even as a shell of himself still excites dome of his most diehards. And who's to say if he were fighting down at a local club and I could go see him for $10, I may go too. Like I said, I don't have a problem with him fighting. I have a problem with him fighting at thr world class level.

When Ray Leonard, my all-time favorite fighter left the sport, I was heartbroken in realizing that a fighter that was so special would not be able to perform again. I waited what seems like an eternity for another Leonard to come along but a few years later, a fighter with similar skills would come along and that was Jones. I met him as an amateur in the 88 box offs and he blew me away and I met him as a pro again and there I was glued to my TV set, it was so electrifying to see such an amazing fighter. I am having a hard time wrapping myself around the reality of what has become my 4th favorite all time fighter and I hope to God something or someone stops him from badly hurting himself unless he has already been set up for future pugilistic dementia. I am thankful seeing Leonard bright and articulate and hope Jones does not end up the opposite. What Jones is doing now is what bothers me the most about boxing and having to witness this is painful. I still cannot believe my other two favorites, Sanchez and Arguello have already passed and Benitez my 5th favorite has been ill for a long time.
