Also, as seen with Roy Jones Jr, a brilliant boxer can one day hit the point where you can no longer do what you used to be able to do. You can get knocked out, or be brave and maybe win a round or two, but lose most of the rounds as Hopkins did vs Kovalev for example.

Check out Roach stating that "the commissions need to put their foot down and stop catch-weights for world title fights!" LMAO:

Freddie Love Ya Bro, But You're Wrong Again
If FLOYD thought he could outbox GGG, he'd take that money plus the title. He KNOWS different. GGG has a very underrated jab, that hits like a Larry Holmes jackhammer jab. Floyd would get hit in such a fight and no way his jaw stands up to GGG power. Hence why Floyd Sr has consistently advised against such a fight. Sorry Freddie. Your guy Cotto got his life saved losing to Canelo. GGG would have stopped Cotto inside 4.Comment

If they got GGG below 154 he'd be useless. They're so mismatched in weight its dumb people keep entertaining this fight.Comment

I don't think Floyd can handle GGG at this stage of his career. But even with the size difference, I think a primed Floyd handles GGG rather easily. I think even the version of Floyd that Canelo fought win a comfortable decision against Gennady.Comment
