I hate catch weights..and weight classes are inherently just arbitrary catch weights...

Floyd should just face Tyson Fury for the title... seriously...why is Floyd saying he's the best fighting all of these "catch weight" fights anyway?

So had the fight been at 154 instead of 152, what would have changed? Canelo would have lost 11-1 instead of 12-0???

Canelo would have lost the fight with Floyd no matter what weight. He was a slow flat footed fighter. He would do better today but still lose. Triple G would be the same

Mayweather retired from the ring in September after beating Andre Berto over twelve rounds. Prior to his retirement, Golovkin said he was willing to drop down to the junior middleweight limit of 154-pounds for a dream fight with Mayweather, who held the WBC/WBA belts in that division.

FM has the speed and defence

but he lacks real punching power. How long has it been since he ko'd much less knocked an opponent to the canvas?? Haters call GGG a can kicker, but it's ok for FM to pick a shmuck like Berto to pad his record and then call himself tbe??? Or Andre Ward cries because he screwed around and lost a chance to fight GGG and then wants to enter into the ring with a green in the gills aussie? Oh I forgot, mr world class super sixer needs a few tune up fights with obscure nobodies. FM never fought the best when it counted and he will go down into history as a runner from the best ever fighters. Face the facts, once FM tastes a few jabs and body shots from GGG, the chicken runner will show out in him and the world will know that he never was tbe to begin with. Unfortunately for all of humanity, FM will NEVER climb into the ring with GGG and attempt to prove his mettle,.....because he has none, nor is he a complete idiot. FM knows his limitations, which is why he rarely enters into a fight with proven skilled fighters. As for Roach, hot air as usual,....status quo.

Nope, from a medical point of view, one shot from GGG to the chest of Gayweather and he no longer moves well.

Golovking also does the little things Chavez SR did that the casual fan will not see.

If they fought , Floyd would loose by KO.

Roach is speaking from experience , he knows more than any trainer in the game how weight loss effects a fighter , Floyd is so so hard to tag clean and be able to follow up with more , Freddie knows that GGG at 154 would be less powerful , more flat footed and slower , you people need to understand Manny whom Freddie built to be able understand weight and why Freddie says he thinks Floyd would out box him , Freddie has sound reasons for saying this .

Many fans are so short sited all they see is whats in front of their face , they see GGG blast flat footed B+ grade fighters and see him doing the same with a 6lbs lighter weigh-in , Lara at 154 would be a very good yardstick for GGG at that weight but GGG wont take it , and Floyd is mile more talented than Lara .

Dont ever underestimate weight in boxing , if 2 lb can get Cotto beat by Manny and Canelo beat by Floyd as you all are saying , what does 6lb do .
