You should have heard the amazement in his voice

I was like, hmmm. You need to watch some boxing mate
Fundamental boxing techniques amaze people when they understand them. Most people just see two guys throwing punches. They don't take into consideration feints, timing, ring control, hand speed changes, etc etc

Yup. Let's also not forget that they use 4 ounce gloves in MMA, whereas in boxing it's 8 ounces 147 and below, and 10 ounces anywhere above that.

IMO this is also why MMA has a huge fan base because even though its martial arts it is more of a "fight" or something you'd see on a street.

I agree with you. Nothing against MMA but the fans I've spoken to aren't really into the technical side. They speak more in generalities and use a lot of triangle theory lol

Lmfao at anyone ****ting on Aldo for getting caught. The first round is always dangerous. He fought the best of the best and was undefeated for 10 years. He was a true champion. He was over emotional. Conor was disrespectful for over a year and got in his head. Aldo did something ****** (head hunting) and paid for it. Aldo is one of the GOATs. Love or hate mma but he was a true champion who fought the best of the best. No cherry picks. Hope he bounces back

If it were boxing Aldo would have got up with a count and fight goes on , the hammer fists on the floor is what stopped the fight .

Aldo got caught cold it happens , Id like to see a rematch just to see a round or 2 .

Conor used his movement to create a little space and then threw a counter. Classic boxing technique. The punch was almost perfect. Doesn't mean Aldo is a bum. Far from it. He is a beast. Conot is just that good of a puncher. Unbelievably accurate and powerful.
