Comments Thread For: Coach: Klitschko Will Let Hands Go on Fury in Rematch

Fury fought a smart fight and won, he didnt win it on skill. His reach was the advatage he had with his game plan. Wlad can make a few adjustments and set traps for Fury. If Wlad gets the timing down, the titles are coming back with him, and he will have to chase down the one that already got away.
Fury got knocked down couple times as for letting his hands go, luckily he had much smaller punchers at the time. Guys like Sanders, Brewster land those shots on Fury and hes in the same boat as Wlad.
The robot malfunctioned because he couldn't use his best weapons which are his jab and the clinch.Comment

This trim version of Fury could fight for 20 rounds, no doubt about it.Comment

Banks is just stating the obvious. Wlad doesn't really listen to him, but letting hands go is the obvious strategy. The first fight was such a low output affair that all Wlad had to do was throw an extra 10 punches per round, land 1 or 2 each, and it would have been a "close fight".
I also don't think Wlad really respects Fury's power that much. He got hit with a flush, unexpected hook and only got lightly wobbled. (when Fury spun him and Wlad was expecting Fury to be a gentelman and let him turn around)
After the fight, Fury's team mentioned that they have more tricks up their sleeve and may adjust their gameplan. I'd be very interested in seeing how both camps prepare for the rematch.Comment

He didn't win it on skill? Lol....his movement and feints completely befuddled Wladimir and neutralised his jab. I don't know how that isn't skill. Wladimir couldn't time him at all.

I think the way he fights now is the only way he knows. He's going to be 40, what can he change? He can say that now, they'll say he's looking great in sparring but once he's back in the ring and under pressure, the muscle memory he's developed over the past 10 years will kick in and he'll fight the same way he always does.
It's the same way Manny is always going to have his killer instinct back and will be stopping opponents brutally and has been doing it in sparring...and then the fight comes and it doesn't happen.
Klitschko has one style of fighting and he's ran into an opponent that stylistically beats his way of fighting. It is what it is.Comment

Fury has an insane engine, and even when completely out of shape earlier on in his career, could fight for 12 rounds. He's had to, he doesn't possess the one punch KO power of a Wilder or a Joshua. He also throws an incredible amount of punches normally. Twice as many as Klitschko throws in a fight.
