Roy is gladiator. He's going to fight because that's what he lives.
It's still no good. Those 12-9 guys didn't take the damage from the guys Roy has. Getting beat by nine nobodies is a lot easier than world class beatings.

It was sad seeing him like that, face down and trembling. Way past time to walk away as a fighter, Roy.

I can respect that, but he has no business being in the ring with guys who are anywhere near C level. I honestly feel that's too much for him now.

Considering that Jones was a physical boxing god in his prime, I can understand why it might be hard for him to let the sport go, but it's ludicrous at this point. We have boxing commissions for a reason. They need to do their job and keep him out of the ring.

RJJ's problem is he truly believes he's immortal. He believes in life after death, heaven. He said it himself, "my boxing career is not over until god says it is", he doesn't care if he suffers permanent brain damage, won't have it in heaven (his logic).

            Religion is a poisonous thing.

If he wants to box and make money then maybe he should just travel around doing some exhibitions against real bums where he can just showcase some old flashy skills.

As far as competitive fighting, well he needs to stop that now. Enzo is basically shot too, although not as much as Roy and can probably still operate at a decent level on a good day and he still put Roy's lights out which tells you everything you need to know.

If you're getting literally put to sleep face first by a 2015 version of Enzo Maccarinelli then it's probably time to think seriously about hanging them up as far as fighting anyone half decent.

I agree with Roy needing to walk away. At 46 years old he can't afford to take knockouts like that anymore. If he continues receiving punishment like this he will suffer permanent damage. I would hate to see him in a similar situation as Ali or Freddie Roach.

True he can come back but at what cost. At his age he can't take too many more knockouts like that. I hope he retires soon. He's done more then enough to cement his place in the HOF.
