No boxing needs other things fixed before we start trying to copy the flavor of,the month!
Would you support UFC type gloves in boxing??

No, boxing is dangerous enough. You can't put that much power on guys who are already good at striking, coupled with possibly already good natural knockout power. There would be way more deaths in boxing. UFC has the benefit of many guys not having good striking abilities, long with mixing many aspects of fighting, so as to not rely solely on the 4 oz. advantage. In boxing all you have are your fists, so I'm pretty sure the number of deaths in boxing would skyrocket.Comment

No gloves change, but the sport needs to start discouraging spoiling tactics(running-clinching-fouling) and having a regulatory ring size for some weight classes......midget mofos fighting in 24 ft rings is ridiculous, leave that to the heavyweights.Comment

^^^^This right here. The sport of boxing would improve tremendously if the top talents were forced to fighter each other on a routine basis; that and ending the ****** promotional, network wars. The sport is fine for the most part, just has to fix the matchmaking.
The biggest reason the UFC has prospered is because White and his partners essentially have a monopoly on the top talent and call all the shots, even down to fighter sponsorship.Comment

NOOO
There is a reason they started using gloves. Can't see smaller gloves helping out the sport.
I would rather see 15 round fights return, before changing the gloves. That would be a better solution.Comment

For the Thrilla in Manila, Ali & Frazier used 8oz. gloves as did most heavyweight fights up until the 80s.
Lighter weight classes used to use 6oz.
This isn't that crazy of a proposal given that it was in fact the norm for a long time.Comment

Exactly, this is more what i meant,
i said mma TYPE gloves, not the actual ones they are using.
Lighter gloves make no difference to a KO.
Maybe cut off some of the padding and bring back 6oz gloves.
of course alot more stuff has to be done in boxing before this is ever discussed,
and by the looks of it, nobody really wants to see lighter gloves
