Sullivan Barrera vs. Karo Murat: worst stoppage of 2015?

Karo Murat blocked a few punches with his gloves and then the referee waved it off.

The one knockdown of the fight was from a punch after the bell ending the previous round.

Bad stoppage. Murat was apparently still recovering from the knockdown, but it's not like he was taking repeated, unanswered blows to the head. Didn't think the Quillin fight should've been stopped either, although it looked like he was on his way out. At least Peter was on ***** Street. Karo still had his wits about him. There's no telling where a fight goes if a boxer survives a tough round. We've seen big comebacks before. Refs are just afraid to see someone get hurt nowadays. Can't blame 'em.

Not sure about the bad stoppage... Murat didn't seem to have come to fight...

Sure thing is this was one of the worst scheduled Eliminator Fight ever... Barrera as mandatory ? Really ?

Who would you have prefer as a mandatory, instead of Barrera? It was bertevie-Barrera and the Cuban wasnt clear to travel, then the russian didnt fight because an injury, so why not Barrera?

I counted 8 solid punches to mu**** head and the only awnser was backing off, a little soon for my liking but murat wasnt doing ****... the punc that did the damage was the uppercut right before the bell, the other was just a push

Beterbiev lost his spot because of injury. Before he lost his spot he was turned down by numerous fighters including Hopkins and Pascal. Pascal said he wouldn't fight him because they had the same trainer but during this time he was actively looking for a new trainer. Berrera accepted the fight but couldn't travel to Canada for the fight.

The ref should be publicly flogged for that horrendous stoppage. I hope they were hyper critical of it in the broadcast.
