Comments Thread For: Errol Spence Reflects on Latest Win, Eyes Big 2016 Run

With no more business to tend to in the ring, Errol Spence decided to take in one more night at the fights in 2015. The unbeaten welterweight was present at ringside for the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC card in San Antonio, Texas.

Spence (19-0, 16KOs) looked like he was ready to jump back in the ring, not very far off from the 147 lbs. he weighed for his recent 3rd round knockout of Alejandro Barrera. The bout also aired live on NBC, taking place in Dallas, just 30 minutes from his hometown in Desoto.

Spence should target Alexander, Berto, Algieri, Lopez, Ortiz, those are good fights for him

Another cherry picker hype job. Martinez called him out for ducking him. I predict more TBA's for him

He's a good young prospect. Who's hyping him up?

lol you think he ducked Aaron Martinez? He would stop Martinez inside 3-4 rounds.

Just because he didn't get the fight it doesn't mean he ducked. Haymon has a lot of prospects looking for step up fights, including Vasquez who got the Martinez fight. You can't please everyone. I'm sure 2016 will be a big year for Spence, he's gonna get that IBF title shot.

Spence is a juggernaut heading for a title - other fighters like the ones in your list know this so unless they get paid a lot of money they are not going to get in his path especially if they are still on the up slope and not the down slope.

I don't really thing seeing Spence whip Berto and Ortiz would tell us much. Alexander looks flushed on the evidence of his last fight. I think only Algieri would put up any kind of fight and he would be worn down in side 4 rounds.

The eyes don't deceive - skills wise he is a contender already. He just hasn't yet had a chance to confirm it in the ring.

                Spence is the Truth

I have little doubt Spence is the truth. That's one of the next top WW. Problem will be he is too good, and those so called names will duck him.

And fans will claim is resume is weak because of it.

Because that's how it goes for guys that are too good.

Berto and Algieri probably wouldn't fight Spence they want bigger fights. Ortiz is a strong WW good power he would test Spence chin. Alexander has a good chin if his legs aren't shot he might could outbox outpoint Spence

All that may be true but I say again who's hyping him up? It's not like we're ready tons of threads about Errol Spence.
