Just started boxing im 16 years old.

So im looking for a gym, ive been in this gym ( i tried out ) 3 times, and it dosen't seem like the coaches dont focus on me and im a beginner. I have no technique what so ever or have never like really fought someone. In the first training it was only body workouts you know jump rope etc, second training was technique ( what foot to have forward if you want to have the most power, like if you wanna have strong left hook you have the right foot forward and vice versa. And third training we did again only body workouts. I want to train my technique head movements, how to punch/Jab how to put your strenght into them punches. You know that kind of stuff? It feels like im just confused and i dont know what to do, im just following the coach what hes saying what we gonna do and i do it. At the end i feel like what have i learned? i just trained my body. Hes like 65-70 ish hes the ( father ) of the club. My dream is to fight like mike tyson and have a similar style of fighting with the pick a boo, im not very tall aswell im like only 5,6 - 5-7 male. I understand we have many people at the club but is this a sign that t his is not a good club for me? and i should look for another one? Btw this is the most sucessful club in my country i think with the most who have produced champions in my country not worldwide. But i just dont see it? I know im just a beginner but my time is limited im 16 and i wanna get good at boxing and i have the passion.. Some advice would be great Do i need to look for a champion boxer trainer? becuse all the succesful boxers at least had a very good trainer, mike tyson, mayweather etc. We have training monday to thusday 1 hour, is that good?..

Be patient. You have to train your body and be in amazing physical shape to be able to train and learn properly. The technique will come, youve only done 3 classes so dont give up on it yet. If the coaches see you work hard every single day and not complain or anything they will notice you and pay more attention to you eventually. I wish i got into a gym at 16, if you are really passionate about boxing just be patient and put in the work and time, especially if its a prestigious gym, they will notice you when youre ready.

3 sessions ain't much. Stick with it for at least 3 months and see where you end up. Only 3 sessions, that's not enough time for you to even see what all they have to offer. Patience.

Okay young friend... First 3 months isn't enough, 6 months is t either. A year would put you in the position to determine style and technique. In my view, and individuals style should reflect his given technique and skills. Tyson style worked well for him because of his speed, power and size. Depending on which weight class you fight in and height, a peek a boo style may not be best for your size.

3 sessions isn't much at all. It takes a whole lot of patience in the boxing game. Expect if you want your coaches attention be a student that is there everyday for 3-4 hours. A good fighter will train atleast 3-4 hours a day.

Stand at a 45 degree angle from that position you can throw any punch, chin down eyes up, elbows tuck, one way to learn how to punch straight is stand next to a wall and punch along side the wall so that you don't stick your elbows out than turn the punch just before you extend your arm, pivot when you throw rights and hooks.

Learn how to dance. Salsa, whatever, learn how to scopes distances quickly, and in a balanced manner! Add that to your boxing. This will take you far.

Focus on the basics, let them become who you are. Live it, sleep it, breathe it!
