Joshua vs Whyte: Fight Card Of The Year?

There wasn't a single boring or non-eventful fight on the whole card - Chisora wins by Stoppage, Joshua wins by Stoppage, Eubank Jr wins by Stoppage, Campbell loses his 0, Mitchell loses by Stoppage, Malignaggi shows he's still got it and wins the Euro title for the first time! We saw some great boxing skills, some blood and guts wars, two grudge matches on the same card (Joshua vs White and Eubank vs Spike), a lot of very talented upcoming fighters performing.

That was possibly the best all-round boxing card we just witnessed anywhere on the planet all year and they saved it for the end of the year? Damn, I wasn't expecting that..

How can it be the best fight card when it didn't involve Khan who is being shamelessly ducked by Floyd and Pac?

im pretty sure the russian card with povetkin, lebedev, rakhkiev, etc. was better.

More competitive fights, many upsets and many knockouts

eubank vs spike was lame lol
eubank won against who he shouldve dominated
it was a weird retirement from spike
eubank tried to showboat, but ended up getting tagged every single time he tried

        meh.

If flatline believes this matchroon mediocre domestic BS card is 'card of the year' it confirms what we already know.

          Flatline is ******ed.

Why do you think that was a "lame" fight? Maybe not the best skill on display consistently but the fight was entertaining with both fighters swinging for the fences at times because of the grudge. Eubank was throwing some fast 4/5/6 punch-combinations, and also repeatedly throwing that sharp uppercut, sometimes doubling and tripling that punch, with venom. It was an unusual fight because of the style clash - not your typical boxing match, or your typical slug fest, but that made it more interesting.

Some people were asking if Eubank has the same sort of chin as his father who was known to have one of the best chins in the sport when he was active. This fight, Eubank did get caught a few times, although not really that often, with some bombs but he never seemed dazed at any point.

It wasn't the proper Euro title that Paulie won, Branco still holds that and is defending against Bundu next year. Paulie won a shîttier version of it. (Similar to what the WBC "international" belt is compared to the full WBC belt)
