aldo is supposed to know how to fight in mma, hes been undefeated since 2005 and he got knocked out with the first counter punch/punch landed. thats a bigger joke.

no one in the UFC will ever be a defensive genius and everyone can lose, has there ever been a undefeated champion in the UFC reigning for years and years? not even a defensive fighter how about just a fighter whos been undefeated and been champion for years, i cant think of one or know one.

theres nothing great about a UFC fight that hyped and apparently that big being over in 13 seconds, it actually does the sport a disservice because simply its like they cant fight for **** and these are supposed to be top level UFC fighters, masters in their craft. i had people on my facebook hyped out of their minds, struggling to stay up at 5am to watch it and when they watched the fight they was disappointed as it was a complete joke.

from how you replied to my post in about 5 seconds, you arent really having a logical or sense-able discussion so carry doing yourself a service, you are coming across as a clueless casual fan.

I'm a big McGregor fan but hes not gonna be making $20 mill+ a fight ever

People don't want to pay $60 bucks for a fight thats gonna be uploaded to instagram within 5 minutes after the fight

And the difference between Pac and Floyd is Floyd had to pay for the entire cost of the promotions. On flops like the Guerrerro and Berto fight, McGregor probably made more money than he did.

Pac gets at least $20 mill guaranteed plus PPV's. The fight could literally sell nothing or be canceled and he would still get $20 mill. Plus hes one of the most endorsed celebs in the world. People don't realize that top athletes make more off the field than they do on it.

This is why its possible that McGregor will make more in his career than Floyd but not Pac

Who's calling Aldo #1 p4p? Certainly not me. That fight was a joke. If you want to see what a REAL MMA fight looks like, watch the Rockhold/Weidman fight from ealier in the night.

I like both MMA and boxing. And I don't see why it has to be one or the other. Both have their ups and downs.

McGregor has the personality to create the interest needed to earn May/ Pac money...unfortunately he'll never reach their level because Champions don't reign long in the UFC. Once McGregor's aura of invincibility is gone, he'll lose most of the hype and a associated income. I'd give him two years tops before he gets knocked off.

Last I checked he was p4p #1 after the suspension of Jones, couple that with his 10 year undefeated streak and I suppose it made sense.

I stayed up to see the fight cause it was supposed to be a match up at the highest level and it ended up being a joke. I literally laughed when the KO happened, like this is the P4P number 1 guy lunging head first chin up in the opening seconds of the fight.. like really? .... I would have expected a bit more class and savvy from an elite fighter, so much so that Connor didn't have to create an opening for the KO. The sport shouldn't be judged on that fight alone though like you said.

The co-main event was what the sport is about though, you could see both guys had real skills, neither could out ju-jitsu the other. That's what I expect in a high level match up. Those 10 second KOs or submission suggest more of a lack of quality opposition than a once in a generation talent in the making.

Conor is the UFC's biggest star attraction just huge

Conor McGregor is a Super star in the UFC and the little leprechaun Conor backs up everything he says. Conor is the best thing to hit the UFC in years. Let's see a fight in Ireland for Conor in the biggest arena available if there are any? Not sure if the Irish could put on a Mega Event by themselves and would probably need the Brits to do it for them. The poor picked on Irish have had nothing to cheer for for centuries and are always the butt of jokes in the world but Conor is changing that. That mini man half pint will own Ireland soon.

Conor is bigger than all Irelands hero from the past

Conor is the biggest little thing to ever hit Ireland in all of history. Granted the Irish do not have much history or accomplishments but the wee man Conor is changing that perception of the beaten down made fun of and ridiculed Irish.
