Comments Thread For: Photos: Chris Eubank Jr. Beats Down Spike O'Sullivan

Chris Eubank Jr won the final eliminator for Daniel Jacobs' WBA middleweight title after overpowering tough Irishman Gary O'Sullivan in seven rounds at The O2.

An action-packed fight concluded after the seventh when O'Sullivan's corner withdrew him from the contest with the 31-year-old from Cork fading before Eubank's onslaught.

Eubank, watched by his father Chris at ringside, looked set for an early stoppage when he repeatedly landed with the right uppercut in the second, but O'Sullivan showed resilience to survive a one-sided round. [Click Here To Read More]

        It was a terrific performance.

Adam Booth has already helped big time and the only real issue to fix now is his reckless swinging when he is looking to finish. Outside of that, he's looking sharp, powerful and skillful.

People forget, but the sparring with guys like Froch, DeGale, Groves, Lee, as well as LHW's and HW's has helped and taught him a lot

            I think he beats Jacobs.

              Well he's his mandatory now.

I don't think he'll handle the accuracy and speed of Jacobs too well, but Eubank Jr could land first...who knows. I'd rather see that next for him, but it appears Lou/Jacobs/Haymon already working on Lee since they won't stfu about it

Eubank said he expects a Jacobs/Quillin rematch, and if so he has no issue going for the British title in the mean time.

I think Jacobs has good power, but I think Eubank has a speed and skill advantage. He also has an iron chin while Jacobs has a dubious one.

It will be a good fight, but I lean towards Eubank.

I guess ubank is third choice since Lou is really playing up Lee... but no need for a rematch to that 1 round Blitz. Quillin sounds like he's accepted it and who knows if he even stays at MW... even though he looked like he handled it better.

                  Might as well rematch Aldo/McGreggor

Enjoyable fight. Was really fun at times.

I thought Eubank looked great at times, and fought recklessly at others.
