Middleweights of the '90s STILL Going...

I don't know how many times these guys are going to have to lose to step down. Roy's had a great career, but this surely has to be the final nail in the coffin. Remember when he was hot? I do, but I'm 34 years old. I'm betting most posters on here don't. In the '90s, he was considered the best in the world, beating down many at middle, super middle and light heavy, but that was twenty years ago. When Tarver knocked him out in 2004, I thought, well I guess he won't be around much longer. Oh, but he kept on and on and on until now. This is just getting sad and well, I don't see his commentating career lasting if his brain is scrambled. For God's sakes, man, get out!

And then we have James Toney who is scheduled to fight next month. I remember when he was hot, too, in like, 1994. And then, there was his resurrection against Jirov in 2003. And here we are, 12 years later and he's fighting next month in an 8-rounder. His speech already doesn't sound so hot(although he's always mumbled and had a great defense) and it's just getting sad as well. Please get out before your lights are permanently put out.

As far as Hopkins, well, it looks like he is out and good for him.

To their credit, these guys did great things in their days and even managed to come back multiple times, but they're not going to further their legacies any more than they have and well, it's just time. Walk away while you still can!

As long as I've been a fan of boxing Jones has been considered done. But let's be real we shouldn't include Bhop in with those two. He may be old but it's not like he's shot to pieces and just a sad relic of himself.

Oh he's in much better shape. I agree. I don't think he should fight again though. I think Toney is the worst. At least Jones has stayed in shape.
