if you are a roy jones fan how can you say that. if he really needs the money then it makes it slightly less painful, but i know growing up i loved watching shane mosley. watching him fight made me get into boxing. when he started catching beatings it broke my heart to see my childhood hero getting starched by fighters who couldnt touch him in his prime. i know he was probably in need of $$$ but knowing these beatings will probably catch up to him (brain damage) is a truly terrible thing.

maybe you can say "if he still loves it, why not!" but for me i dont want to see these guys turn into a vegetable by 60 years old

One of them was gonna go out cold - Roy's faculties still seem to be in tact no matter how many times he goes out. Enzo sounds horrible these days so if you're in here concerned about the health of fighters, then maybe it's better that Roy be the one to go out.

still not watching the replay though. Not until I see Roy back on HBO with a smile

I understand where you're coming from but that's on him. I can't help that Paul Williams loved to ride motorcycles but he got injured doing what he loves.

It's just something you have to accept.

Roy is trying to box like the 25 year old version of himself, with the reflexs of a 50 year old and a chin worse than Amir Khan's.

there was never a winner for this fight anyways, whoever wins and stays in the game will be pummeled into a wheerchair by a bigger and more dangerous cruiserweight than both of them most likely

Roy doesn't seem to have a strong support system or loving people around him to convince to retire.

He seems to still have faculties intact when I listen to him commentate and he is really good at analyzing fights so I'm still baffled why he can't see it himself that he is ****ing done.

                      Bamboozle!!!

Roy doesn't need cash. Lol. That's all pride and probably because Bhop is still at it. If Roy never went on a focused commentary route he'd be much better than what we've been seeing today. Plus the cash offered to Roy in Russia is perhaps super nice!
