Criticism of Verdejo at this point in time shows total boxing ignorance

Yeah, you know who you are. The little ****s like WarCanela. Leveling childish accusations at Verdejo when the guy's 19-0 and has shown no signs of being anything less than a future world champion. Laughable criticism of not stepping up yet, when Mexican fighters nowadays make a career of starting 40-0 in their own backyard while fighting drunks off the neighborhood bar, cousins, and anybody who will help fatten that artificial record.

Oh..... and BTW..... file this under your FYI notes: Mexico still trails Puerto Rico in boxing championship head-to-head title fights throughout history. How's that for a tiny Caribbean island versus a behemoth of a nation. You dismiss the fact that there's like 120 million Mexicans in Mexico and probably another 200 million scattered everywhere, whereas Puerto Rico barely has 3 million..... but the truth hurts. We've owned you a hell of a lot more than the other way around.

I doubt little ****s like WarCanela are even Mexicans. The true Mexicans I've met are mature adults, and the only one I've seen that fits that description here is Cuauhtémoc. The rest is a posse of Mexican-Americans, who idolize slum bums like Brandon Rios and Antonio MargaCheato. Must stick in your craw to idolize scum bags like that. Oh..... don't want to forget Cesar Chavez Jr., another piece of work.

So continue to criticize Verdejo... everyone can see you're only doing it 'cause you'd love for him to be Mexican, so you could claim him. And continue deep-throating the worthless fighters from your neck of the woods.

What's not to like? He has always won and looked good. He has speed, accuracy and power in both hands. He damn near killed the last guy he fought with a bullet of a right hand. He hasn't defeated anybody that good yet but he almost certainly will beat stronger opposition soon. He isn't a trash talker or a loud mouth jerk. He is a humble, hard working boxer with great potential.

Verdejo has the backing needed for a bright future. If he improves, the sky is the limit. That said, I hope he doesn't fall in love with his power and forget to box like JuanMa did. For some reason, our fighters tend to do that unnecessarily. I've noticed a lot of flaws that could easily be exploited by elite fighters. Let's hope he works on his game.

Nevertheless, yes, the requirements are there. Puerto Rico has been waiting for someone to replace Tito, in part because of their stubborn refusal to accept Cotto's greatness. If Verdejo is the real deal, he'll be huge. Of course, this being the case if there's still anyone on the island left >.>.

Exactly! And all good points raised. So the hate is really just that.... hate. Irrational and based solely on his being Puerto Rican, which automatically brings in the ignorant piranhas. Some of the haters probably secretly wish he was Mexican, 'cause he's going to do more than his share of asswhupping in the not too distant future.

Boxing fans look to discredit everyone in this sport. You shouldn't take them too serious, I wish it wasn't that way but it is.

That's where you distinguish between boxing "fans" and just plain "fanatics". The boxing fans know when to give credit regardless of nationality. The fanatics couldn't see their hand in front of their face if they were slapped with it. There's a lot of fanatics here.

Not true say what you want about canelo fighting bums coming up but that's because he turn pro at 15. Compare canelo at verdejo age and every year canelo has proven more.yea you can say it was cause verdejo was an Olympian but so what he didn't win shtt. At least canelo was dominating pros. Verdejo is hella old fighting bums.
Verdejo should be a dishwasher since he has soft hands like a woman
