Comments Thread For: Hearn Could See Joshua Being Biggest Brit Boxer Ever

Olympic champion Anthony Joshua hopes his fight with fellow London heavyweight Dillian Whyte on Saturday night is just another step of a glittering career.

The London 2012 gold medallist has 14 knockouts from 14 professional fights and takes on Whyte, who has 13 KOs in 16 bouts and beat Joshua in an amateur contest in October 2009.

Joshua could emulate Lennox Lewis, who won Olympic gold before going on to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, but he does not wish to get ahead of himself.

He could conceivably go 100-0 if Eddie can keep lining up these has-beens and never-weres. Fury being stripped of the IBF belt was a brilliant stroke of good fortune for the Joshua camp...

        Talk is cheap

There a lot of very good fighters in the division.
It does not pay to get ahead of yourself.Hearn talks like it's going to be
        a walk in the park.
How about these guys : Fury,Parker,Wilder,Martin,Ortiz,Jennings,Haye,
        Povetkin,Klitschko.

I believe we going into a golden era for heavyweights.
No one guy is going to completely dominate like the Klitschko brothers.

I also believe even if Whyte loses tonight. He can come and be a force
        in the heavyweight scene.

Hearn has been reading the DeLaHoya book, "How to hype fighters and sell fights".

Joshua had 20 amateur fights 17-3 (lost to Dillian Whyte in Whyte's amateur debut) and fought 14 bums as a pro and Hearns is talking like Joshua's going to take the boxing world by storm and putting everyone on notice. It's only a matter of time before Joshua get busted for PED's anyways.

He hasn't fought anyone yet but he's only had 14 fights. I'd venture to guess that he'll have fought better people than Wladimir in the same time period.

He is literally a promoter's wet dream so I'm not surprised Hearn is putting so much stock in him. I'm still not sold.
