Floyd vs. Ricky is the new Oscar vs. Tito...

I see the hype and build up being similar...if u think about, u have a great boxer in Floyd (Oscar at the time) against a relentless puncher in Ricky (Tito)...# 1 in their rankings..all 4 have or had amazing stamina. Ricky and Tito both have a huge following, backed up by their country men on their side....and Floyd and Oscar has the Vegas crowd...Tito was a former Showtime boxer, switched to HBO for a super-fight with their most lucrative boxer in the stable, The Golden Boy. Now, Ricky Hatton is doin the exact same thing Trinidad was doing 7 years ago...gunning for HBO's most lucrative fighter right now, Pretty Boy...The 'someone's O has gotta go' big fights are usually the best ones to look forward to....and the BEST thing about of it all, Don King's fingers are nowhere near this jar!...ha..

but yea, I see a comparison in the making....a classic one at that...

    Great comparison.

It actually makes sense in alot of ways, and come fight time.....you and I both know Floyd won't stand and trade with Hatton. That could potentially lead him to losing the fight.

    Potential controversy in the making.

Tito/DLH gets all the comprassion these days, do not set the bar there. This fight is the new Leonard/Duran. Easily, my most wanted fight.

except for the all excitement before and after the fight ,the fight it self was boring I watched dela hoya play el mantador all night tito tried to make something pop off in the last three rounds, dela hoya wouldn't have it.I think Floyd and Hatton would be way more exciting especially when it gets close to the last rounds. I see floyd taking chances,I don't see floyd making hatton say no mas, but I see the doctor telling hatton no mas ,hatton cuts rather easy and floyd is very accurate, but no matter the outcome I think we'll see a way more classic affair than dlh vs.tito

            Good post!

Another reason to love this fight just like a Leonard v. Hearns or Tito v. Oscar is that both Ricky and Floyd will be in their absolute physical primes...this is a rarity to have two fighters engaging in a super fight at there absolute physical peak.

Now we just hope they keep those 0's of theirs which I think they will but lets just keep our fingers corssed anyways.

Oh-one more thing...boxing fans owe Ricky Hatton when this fight gets signed! Just like Boxing fans owe Jeff Lacy for crossing the pond to fight Joe the same is said for Ricky who left the freindly confines of Manchester Arena to come here and basically tell the boxing world and most importantly Floyd Mayweather that there is absolutely no ****ing way you are avoiding me, absolutely no ****ing way!

This American appreciates the **** out of animals like Jeff Lacy and Ricky Hatton win or ****ing lose baby!

Yeah Hatton has a problem with cuts around his eyes, but his defence has improved greatly. Isn't scar tissue stronger than your normal flesh?

Mayweather/Hatton is THE fight right now. This fight could really go either way. Mayweather could easily beat Hatton but Hatton could just as easily run through Mayweather. They also could just up thier games and put on a great back and forth war. Relentless aggressor against the slick counterpuncher should be explosive.
