They will agree to take intermediate fights is my best guess. Canelo will want a fight with another MW - someone like Lee, Saunders, Heiland, Lemieux or Eubank. GGG will then adhere to a mandatory fight with either Johnson or Jacobs. After that, GGG-Canelo will be ready for the fall, assuming they both win.
